An apropriate title from Mr. Lynne, this album is the worst effort from him, ever, From Out Of Nowhere and going nowhere, what a shame, I have been a fan, follower of ELO or Jeff Lynne for more years than I care to remember, I have stood and clapped and danced at the concerts, every album released was bought without hearing first knowing that Jeff would produce the goods, but now his latest album is dire, all the instruments played and mixed by him is why I will always admire this talent, but it fails on content the songs are so repetitive the title of each track is repeated over and over presumably to stretch the length of each one, they sound like bits of every song he ever did saved from the cutting room floor and jangled up with not very original songs, they all sound over produced and lacking the spontaneous infills that made his music.
Really great tracks from start to finish, much better than last one which was a disappointment to me, and while not everyone a winner, there is plenty to give this a very strong four star - a lot better than much of the stuff being released today! You can't help but feel the joy of this album. Whilst not in the same style of say Out of the Blue etc, this is Jeff Lynne moving with the times and still showing just what a musical genius he is. Jeff has a great live band.



I just wish he would have played on more songs.

From Out Of Nowhere is the new album from Rock & Roll Hall of Famer and music legend Jeff Lynne, and follows up a remarkable run of sold out European and American tours. Latest release from Jeff Lynn and ELO, brilliant, all sung and all instruments played by him, but I have since seen them performed on stage and the band sound as good as the CD, Brilliant. Now, it's like the song on this album where he sings about playing at Wembley stadium, it's just him sitting on his rear end and writing about what he sees [Dude, it's like you've given up writing and just describe what happened last night, which is nothing].... Really happy with this album and it's a step up from the last album "Alone In The Universe". A great, while not perfect, return to his previous releases and very pleased I bought it.

Some classic melodies with some lovely ballads and yet still able to rock it up as well. Jeff Lynne seems to have simplified his music making formula. Fabulous.

I've been a fan of the Electric Light Orchestra since 'Eldorado' in 1974. Unmistakably ELO, every track is brilliant. And it’s just good music, music you just don’t get anymore.
