Masland imposed that sentence two months after Abner, 53, of Hampden Township, Township police arrested Abner after a neighbor found the decomposing corpse of Abner’s dog, a Husky named Eagle, in his house in August. Neighbors say they discovered Eagle dead in Abner's Hampden Township home while Abner was out of the state.
