Elite races will take place on September 4 & 5, 2020. With Hamburg as the only WTS event of the 2020 season, and following the current contractual obligations of the World Triathlon Series, the ITU has made the decision to award the World Championship titles in this race, in addition to the Mixed Relay World Championship that will be held on the day 6.. As you could see coming, this season we will have a single test champion Postponed HAMBURG WTS RELAY WChamps.

The ITU World Triathlon Series is the International Triathlon Union's annual series of triathlon events used to crown an annual world champion.

The one-day World Championship is back… by default Hamburg will be the last 2020 WTS race standing. The Aug. 17-23 International Triathlon Union Edmonton 2020 World Triathlon Series grand final and world championships was, of course, wiped out along with the entire series.
